This poster-flyer is a student concept for The Aquilizan Studio: Making it Home workshop at the Art Gallery of NSW. The workshop explores the often changing, complicated, and personal meanings of "home" as participants craft their dream home using cardboard. The university brief was to design an A3 promotional poster that can be folded into a flyer.

What makes a home is not just the physical structures but also the people, culture, flora, and fauna that are a part of a place. To encourage children to engage with this complex meaning of home, the design incorporates a handmade collage style and playful abstract shapes that come together like puzzle pieces. The short folded tri-fold design is whimsical and accessible, being easy for people of all ages to open and fold back together.

Idea generation
The illustrations were created by cutting out shapes from paper and creating a collage.
Process
Using Photoshop, I overlaid hand-generated ink textures and separated the illustrations into grayscale layers for risograph printing.
Final Mockup
I put together the final layout on Indesign. I created a coloured mockup to see how the final design would look when risograph printed.
