Making it Home
This promotional poster flyer was designed as a concept for The Aquilizan Studio: Making it Home workshop at the Art Gallery of NSW.
The brief was to design a two to three coloured A3 poster that folds down into a flyer. The artists Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan have drawn from their own migration stories, both living between the Philippines and Australia. This free workshop explores the shifting, varied, and complicated meanings of home as participants use cardboard to create their dream home.

This short folded tri-fold flyer is easy to open and fold back together, so both adults and children can pick it up and read. The top of the poster flyer was cut to form a house shape when folded. I visualised a home as abstract shapes and created the illustrations using paper collage and incorporating ink textures on Photoshop. The poster flyer was riso printed to utilise the vibrant colours, textures, and sustainability of this printing technique.
